Who We Are
I am Kaylan and my husband's name is Mike. Five years ago, Mike decided he was done living in the city and wanted to move to the "country" to raise some goats. For some reason I didn't run away. Instead, we moved in together, got married, and now we have two kids (actual children, not goats!)- a two-year-old boy and a baby girl. We've named our little farm the New Kids and the Flock Farm and we have lots of goats, chickens, cats and a dog that keep us very busy.

What are we doing?
That is a good question! We love where we live, but our house is just too small and not laid out well for a family of four. After looking for a place to move into we realized that we couldn't find anything we liked and was an upgrade from what we already owned. Instead of moving we want to stay and renovate the existing house. We are planning an addition to our house as well as a full renovation of the existing floor plan. It's literally planned to be a whole new house from top to bottom by the time we are done. We've hired a contractor, gotten a construction loan, bought an RV to live in while the renovations happen, and this blog is intended to document this process for all of you to follow along and laugh at us!
